Its said that the
Buddha attained Nirvana. Is Nirvana some superhuman or extraordinary
mental state? What use is it to attain Nirvana?
Is it some godly state? If it is not and is just limited to this life then why should one strive to attain it? In this life if you attain it it will make you behave with others in a good and kind way but apart from that what is its use? If we decide and make a bit of effort even we can be good if we are determined about it, so why attain Nirvana? If it perishes with your life what's the use? Its like a body builder getting a six-pack, it looks good and is healthy but persihes after time or death, is nirvana like that something temporary?
If we are just better evolved animals who will live and perish after this life just like the other living things then why is the state of Nirvana important and should one strive his entire life to attain it?
If it is a godly or eternal state then why was the Buddha unlear if God exists or not? If it is godly or some sort of self(if there is no god what is self?) realised state then why did not the Buddha say so? If it is not then what's so big about it?
